Senator Barrasso is currently accepting intern applications for the Spring 2010 session.
The application deadline for Spring 2010 applicants is November 13, 2010. The program runs from January 4th to May 7th.
My office offers three Congressional Intern sessions each year in
The program provides Wyoming 's youth with a unique opportunity to view first hand how our government operates. The history of Congressional Internships runs deep on Capitol Hill, and the program is an integral part of my Senate office. Young people from throughout Wyoming apply each year so that they may have the unique experience of witnessing our world’s greatest democracy in action.
I have decided to launch a internship program in my Wyoming field offices to give more young people in Wyoming an opportunity to work for the Federal Government while remaining in our great state. This new program will enable interns to experience a critical part of a United States Senator’s work: constituent outreach and service. Part-time internships will also be available in order to accommodate the students’ class schedule if necessary.
The internship program in my offices consists of two four-month sessions in the Spring and Fall, and one three month session in the Summer.
In both Wyoming and D.C., interns will participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent relations to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities and events the area has to offer.
Applicants are generally college students, 21 years of age and older, from the State of Wyoming . Each intern is given a monthly stipend to help with living expenses.
