Senator Barrasso to Give GOP Response to President’s Weekly Radio Address

CASPER, WY – U.S. Senator and doctor John Barrasso, M.D. (R-WY) has been chosen to deliver the Republican response to President Obama’s weekly national address.  Barrasso’s address will air nationally on Saturday, January 22nd immediately after the President’s address to the nation.

Barrasso, the Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, delivered the following statement about his remarks:

“Earlier this week, the newly elected members of the House kept their promise to Americans and voted to repeal the President’s health care spending law.  This week, I’m honored to discuss Republican efforts to repeal this job-destroying law and replace it with patient centered reforms.  We are committed to restoring Americans’ freedom over their own health care decisions.”

Wyoming residents are encouraged to check their local radio stations for specific air times.  The radio address will also be available on Senator Barrasso’s website http://www.barrasso.senate.gov on Saturday.  President Obama’s radio address can be found on the White House website http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/weekly-address.
