Barrasso Votes for Lower Taxes for All Americans

Democrats Say They Support Job Creation – But Punish Job Creators

WASHINGTON D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso  (R-Wyo.) released the following statement after voting to keep taxes lower for all Americans:

“The next time Democrats in Congress say they support job creation, they should explain the votes they took today to punish job creators.  Their hypocrisy is one reason our economy remains weak and Americans remain out of work.

“Despite what President Obama has said, the private sector is not fine and his economic plan has not worked.  We cannot continue down his road of taxing the people who build America’s small businesses and spending their money on more Washington waste.

“Congress must act soon to prevent massive tax increases.  We should deliver certainty to the private sector so that it can hire new workers and help more Americans find jobs.

“I will continue to vote for legislation that helps all Americans keep more of their hard earned money.”

Earlier today, Senator Barrasso spoke on the floor of the U.S. Senate against the Democrats’ plan to increase taxes on America’s job creators.  Watch the video here.
