Barrasso: American Voters Send Clear Message to Washington

“Focus on the economy, cut spending and repeal the President’s healthcare law.”

Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) delivered the following statement regarding the 2010 elections:

“Tonight, voters sent a clear message to Washington: focus on the economy, cut spending and repeal the President’s healthcare law.  Everything we do should reflect the American people’s important priorities.

“Bobbi and I are thrilled to congratulate Governor-elect Matt Mead and Congresswoman Cynthia Lummis on their overwhelming victories.  They ran positive campaigns focused on issues that matter most to folks in Wyoming.  I look forward to working with our elected leaders to help make our state even stronger.  We are committed to growing Wyoming businesses, cutting wasteful spending, and getting Washington out of our way.

“I also look forward to working with the new slate of Senators elected from across the country. We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on the right track and we can’t waste a single minute.”
