WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement on his first day as Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee (RPC):

“Senate Republicans have proposed strong policies that will improve the quality of life for all Americans.   Our ideas will shorten the unemployment lines, cut red tape, and help hard working Americans succeed.

“We are committed to making it easier for the private sector to create jobs, cutting spending, developing American energy, and protecting our nation.  I look forward to supporting these ideas as Chairman of the RPC. 

“If President Obama and Senate Democrats want to get our country moving in the right direction, they’ll work with us to make sure good policies from both sides of the aisle become law.”
