WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) sent a letter to the Government Accountability Office (GAO) requesting an investigation into the reported fraudulent and illegal activities conducted by employees of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN):
“The actions of some of the organization’s employees raise serious questions. A thorough GAO investigation is absolutely necessary to ensure taxpayer funds are not abused. A review of the organization will provide transparency.”
