Barrasso: Courts Have Dealt Another Blow to Health Care Law

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) praised a Florida federal judge’s ruling that the President’s health care law is unconstitutional:

“Just days after the House of Representatives voted overwhelming to repeal it, the courts have dealt another serious blow to the President’s plan.  Judge Vinson confirmed what 26 states and millions of Americans already knew: Washington does not have the authority to force Americans to buy a private product.   Washington power plays can’t trump America’s Constitution.

“It’s no secret that the President’s health care law is bad for patients, providers, taxpayers and small businesses.  Today’s ruling brings us one step closer to repealing and replacing this health care law with patient centered reforms.”
