WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement after he was elected to serve as Vice Chairman of the Senate Republican Conference: 

“I am grateful that I have earned the confidence and the support of my colleagues to represent them as Vice Chairman.  I am foremost indebted to Wyoming for giving me this opportunity to do the job.

“We have a lot to accomplish for the American people.  We must end wasteful Washington spending, stop flawed economic policies, make it easier for the private sector to create jobs and secure a successful future for our country.
