CASPER, W.Y. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement regarding news that the Obama Administration delayed a consumer protection provision in the health care law that limits patients’ out of pocket costs:
“The American people just learned of another major delay in the health care law that will impact patients and their access to affordable health care. Once again, instead of clearly explaining this broken promise to the American people, the Administration hid the information on an obscure bureaucratic government website.
“The reason this law keeps getting delayed is because it doesn’t work like the President promised it would work. Instead of capping patient costs, the Administration simply changed the rules. Instead of making the health care system easier to use, the Administration made it even more confusing and uncertain.
“In the months ahead, we are going to continue to learn about more Obamacare delays, denials and defeats.
“It’s time to finally repeal this law and start over so that Americans can get what they wanted all along – good, affordable health care.”
