Barrasso Votes Against Tax Increase on Americans and Small Business Owners

“Americans need more jobs – not higher tax bills”

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.) released the following statement after voting against legislation that would raise taxes on Americans and small business owners:

“Yesterday, our national unemployment rate hit 9.8 percent.  Today, Democrats actually held a vote on legislation that will kill more jobs by raising taxes on families and small businesses across our country.   It’s simple: the more money small business owners have to send to the government, the fewer people they can hire.   Americans need more jobs – not higher tax bills.  There is still time to do the right thing before new higher rates go into effect on January 1.  Americans want Washington to get it right now – not waste more time.”
