WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), chairman of the Senate Republican Conference, issued the following statement on the October jobs report. The report showed a rise in employment of 638,000, with the unemployment rate falling to 6.9 percent. 

“Republican policies have brought back millions of jobs since March. We’re fighting every day for Americans to get back to work, for kids to get back to school safely, and for our doctors and scientists to put the disease behind us.

“We will continue to support smart and safe reopening policies in this Congress and in the next. That’s the only way to cement this progress and continue a strong, healthy, and growing economy.”
