“Senator Reid’s health care bill is the wrong prescription for America.

“I visit with people in Wyoming every weekend. They say: ‘Fix what is wrong with the health care system without making things worse for me.’ Unfortunately Senator Reid’s health care bill increases the cost of care, increases insurance premiums and increases taxes.
 
“This 2,074-page bill is going to cut close to $500 billion from seniors who depend on Medicare.

 “One in ten Americans are out of work. Our deficit has passed 12 trillion dollars. Now is not the time for Washington to take over one-sixth of our economy.

“Increased payroll taxes and fees will batter our businesses. Our small businesses will be hit hardest.

“This is not what the people of Wyoming want out of Congress. They want us to fix what is wrong with the health care system. This bill only makes things worse.”
